Real Time Power Factor Correction Panel (RTPFC) offers a complete solution for Automatic Power Factor Correction employing thyristor based switching of capacitors. RTPFC ensures Quick Response Time up to 1 sec. (of a few electrical cycles) enabling Real time Power factor correction in critical industrial conditions. It reduces Transmission Distribution losses, minimises Peak or Maximum Demand (MD) in power consumption and maintains power factor close to unity (1.00).
APFC Panels (Automatic Power Factor Correction Panels)
Automatic power factor correction Panel has contactor-based switching. It has a microcontroller based programmable controller which switches the capacitor banks of suitable capacity automatically in multiple stages by directly reading the reactive load (KVAR) which works in the principle of VAR sensing tends to maintain the PF to 0.99. The capacitor banks may be selected in number of stages as 4/6/8/12/14 according to the load pattern.
